My name is Dr. Tom Biggart and I am a physical therapist and strength coach and I specialize in getting people out of pain and back to doing what they love to do.
You have been exercising for awhile and all of a sudden, you have:
Knee pain when going up or down stairs
Knee pain when squatting and lunging
Neck pain so you can turn your head while driving
Neck pain so you can get a good night’s sleep
Shoulder pain when getting dressed in the morning

How do you know your program is right for you?
How do you know you are doing exercises properly?
There are very few bad exercises.
There are a ton that are not appropriate for people and are performed incorrectly.
Shaun was a fit guy but heavy lifting over the years was catching up with him. With some small tweaks, he was able to continue lifting hard but not destroying his shoulder in the process.

You will learn about movement tendencies your body has, how they contribute to any pain or limitations you are having and what we are going to do to fix them.
Your program is designed using a combination of your goals plus your movement assessment.
You program includes strength training, stretching, cardio, nutrition and I have jokes for days.
The key to designing your program is knowing where you are on the scale below at the beginning of your journey.
Those that are on the 100% rehab side are those just out of surgery and their focus is on the rehab for that injury. The 100% fitness side have no injury concerns and are working on solely improving physical appearance and/or performance, sometimes at the expense of their own health.
The rest of us fall somewhere in the middle this scale. If you of a certain age (over 35) or have had injuries, you will probably never be 100% fitness. It makes the most sense to keep some components of rehab in your program to keep yourself feeling good.
Most programs/trainers/gyms do not asses your starting point effectively and do not factor in rehab or recovery components. Their goal is give you a good workout and make you out of breath and sweaty. Those are not skills.
Our goal is to get you as far to the fitness side as we can as long as it aligns with your goals.
